Blown Sugar: Isomalt Mardi Gras Crown 4-Hour Course

New Orleans Glassworks & Printmaking Studio welcomes master sugar sculptor Sidney Galpern to Louisiana sugar cane country. This is an ideal occasion to sweeten the winter season with Valentine’s Day coming, learning blown sugar and cast sugar sculpture.

We will have 4-hour courses available on Tuesday, January 24th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and Wednesday, January 25th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the glassblowing studio.

Isomalt Mardi Gras Crown

The class incorporates cast, pulled, and blown isomalt in various shapes and textures to create a Mardi Gras crown adorned with a fleur-de-lis and more. All supplies provided.
