The New Orleans Glassworks & Printmaking Studio is pleased to announce that on Saturday, November 14, 2015, along with the following Monday and Tuesday, our hot shop studio floor shall host visiting artist and internationally-renowned master-glassblower and sculptor, Robert Stern.
Robert will perform hands-on hot glass demonstrations, as well as make himself available for your commissions. Demonstrations will be ongoing throughout our normal hours (10a–5p) depending on the day. As always, attendance to the event and our open-working studios is free-of-charge to all visitors.
Robert Stern has taught at many professional and educational facilities around the world, including 25 summers of attendance at Pilchuck Glass School in the State of Washington.
This marks the second of two visits by Robert to our studio, who occasioned appearance earlier this year in tandem with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. During his last visit, Robert performed a jazz glassblowing and sculpture demonstration, fabricating a beautiful glass saxophone.
